Knobs Handles
The rotary knobs made of plastic and metal can be used with all rotary potentiometers from our range. In addition to the existing variants, other rotary knobs are also available on request. Our professional adapter, which has a rotary knob and an integrated scale, represents a complete solution. LVDT displacement sensors

Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT) are analog and non-contact sensors with a primary coil and two secondary coils. An electrical signal is generated by the linear movement of the encoder rod. The ferromagnetic core is attached to the transmitter rod. The core induces a voltage in the secondary coils.
Foil Membrane Potentiometer
AFP
Foil membrane sensors are an alternative to the classic potentiometers with a housing. They are used as voltage dividers and consist of several foil layers that are separated from one another by a surrounding spacer. By default, the membrane potentiometers are available as rotary and translatory elements. Due to their design, these potentiometric elements already have a degree of protection of IP54 in the basic version.
Contact is made with the resistance track by applying pressure from a contact glider to the foil. The customer can tap the resistance value via the connections. We recommend a spring-loaded pressure piece with a plastic ball as the contact glider for the foil version. This enables optimal utilization of the service life of the respective element.
Linear potentiometer LL32
The Type LL32 precision linear potentiometer reliably records linear measurement paths for industrial applications. Conductive plastic is used as the resistance element. Standard measurement paths of up to 1,000 mm are possible. The anodized aluminum housing is very robust and offers protection against external influences, in the standard version up to a maximum protection class of IP62. Plain bearings ensure smooth running. The output signal can be output as a 0…10 VDC or 0/4…20 mA signal using an integrated measuring transducer. The linear potentiometers have excellent linearity values and high repeat accuracy.

Since Altmann were founded in 1963, we have been involved in the development, design and manufacture of potentiometers and sensors for distance, angle and position detection for industrial applications.
Most of the components used in our products are traditionally developed and manufactured in-house. This pronounced vertical integration enables us to be as flexible as possible.
In addition to wire winding technology, this is primarily thick-film printing technology.
Our own paste laboratory deals with the development and production of polymer conductive pastes that can be individually adapted to your needs. Resistance slopes are printed on a carrier material (e.g. FR4) using the screen printing process on our own systems.
Scales
The metal scales can be used as standard for various potentiometers from our product range. Customer-specific printing is possible on request.
