In addition to foil material, we offer versions with base material FR4, which is known from circuit board production. This completes the wide range of properties of the membrane potentiometer. The use of FR4 increases the stability of the element and the variability of the connections.Customer-specific requirements can also be mapped for the designs. This applies to length, angle, shape, connection area or additional functions such as impulse switching points.A special feature is the width of linear elements. The standard width is 22 mm. Common sensors are reduced to a width of 10-13 mm. A width of 9 mm is also possible with our foil potentiometers.The membrane potentiometer is available with an effective area of 50-500 mm as standard. Shorter distances are also possible on customer request. Rotary membrane potentiometers are available from an outer diameter of approx. 40 mm. There are already a number of available standard measuring angles.Since the sensors are very flat (from 0.5 mm), these potentiometers are an ideal addition to our range, which also represents a cost-optimized alternative, especially in cramped installation conditions.

Foil membrane sensors are an alternative to the classic potentiometers with a housing. They are used as voltage dividers and consist of several foil layers that are separated from one another by a surrounding spacer. By default, the membrane potentiometers are available as rotary and translatory elements. Due to their design, these potentiometric elements already have a degree of protection of IP54 in the basic version.
Contact is made with the resistance track by applying pressure from a contact glider to the foil. The customer can tap the resistance value via the connections. We recommend a spring-loaded pressure piece with a plastic ball as the contact glider for the foil version. This enables optimal utilization of the service life of the respective element.
