The BRAKEMATIC® control for electrohydraulic brake systems provides precise management of braking processes in industrial environments. Designed for use with electrohydraulic drum and disc brakes, this advanced control unit utilizes a programmable frequency converter and dedicated modules to deliver secure, consistent, and adjustable braking force suitable for complex conveyor systems and heavy-duty applications.

Applications and Operating Principle

BRAKEMATIC® control is engineered to manage regulated braking in systems where accurate and reliable performance is crucial, such as in conveyor belt operations seen in industries like raw material extraction and ports. By continuously monitoring and adjusting braking forces through electronically controlled frequency converters and ELDRO® lifting devices, the system enables effective modulation of braking torque, regardless of load, belt inclination, or process requirement.

Note: Control units and brake lifting devices are coordinated and matched to load cases by the manufacturer. Component changes require recalibration to ensure correct system performance. Separate supply lines are required for drive motors and brake lifting devices.

Description

Note:Control units and brake lifting devices form a functional unit and are individually coordinated and locked to the load cases by the manufacturer. If a component is replaced, it will require a recalibration of the system. The drive motor and brake lifting devices have separate supply lines. A circuit diagram and an operating manual are included in the scope of supply. The following functions can be implemented with the BRAKEMATIC® system:

  • Pedal control P:

Electronic pedal control with manual parameter specification for generating an analogue braking procedure. The system permits sensitive braking of travelling operations and rotary movements 

  • Ramp function R:

Electronic control for generating fixed, pre-programmed braking torque profiles to realise forced opening and closing movements

  • Advance:
