The torsionally industrial elastic claw couplings compensate for axial, radial and angular misalignment. Thus they can compensate for shaft misalignment as a result of inaccurate assembly, foundation settlement or by terminal-induced changes in height and length.
The claw couplings operate with stressed rubber transmission elements form-fit and puncture-proof. The elastic transmission elements are normally made of a rubber material (NR-SBR 75 – 80° Shore = element design SN) which is suitable for temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. Other rubber or silicone materials with different hardness levels and suited for higher temperatures are available on request.
The couplings are provided with progressive torsional characteristic with good damping properties with regard to torsional vibration and shock load. A special feature of all couplings is a separate bolt-retaining cap that enables a radial mounting and dismounting of the elastic elements without axial displacement of the clutch hub.
The elastic elements are in all sizes, designed as a semi-tunnel, where two rubber pads are connected to an outer belt.
Features
RKK industrial couplings, connecting element with high flexibility
- Torsionally flexible
- Axial compensatively
- Radial compensatively
- Angular compensatively
Quick and easy replacement of worn coupling elements:
- Loosen and pull back retaining cap
- Remove coupling elements and insert new ones
- Push back retaining cap and screw tight
Technical benefits
- Easily removable worn rubber elements / coupling elements without disassemble the coupling or motor
- Claws of the couplings are coaxial to the shaft (no draft angles, therefore lower axial forces)
- Long service-life and reduced maintenance and follow-up costs
